MacBook and MacBook Pro computers running Mac OS X 10.5 may have an intermittent, unresponsive internal keyboard.
Answer:
install the MacBook, MacBook Pro Software Update 1.1 to address this issue.
2) Kotoeri is not listed in Setup Assistant's Select Your Keyboard window for Mac OS X 10.5 and MacBook 13", Early 2008
Question:
When I start Mac OS X 10.5 for fist time Setup Assistant shows. Although I have selected Japanese as the main language and selected Japan as the region I am in, I only see "U.S." listed in the "Select Your Keyboard" window.
Answer:
In order to select Kotoeri as a keyboard option, follow these steps to list both U.S. and Kotoeri in the Select Your Keyboard window:

A) In the Select Your Keyboard window, click Go Back.
B) Click the left arrow to go back to the Select a Language window.
C) Select Japanese and then click the right arrow.
D) Select Japan in the Welcome window and click the Continue.
If you selected U.S. in the Select Your Keyboard window and you have completed the Setup Assistant, follow these steps to select Kotoeri:
A) From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences...
B) Click International in the System Preferences window.
C) In the International preferences, open Input Menu pane.
D) Select Kotoeri.
Close System Preferences.

this thread could get VERY long with all the hardware errors, so maybe splitting it up might be a good idea. not sure how though.
need to cover GSOD, if the computer randomly turns off, calibrating the battery, etc. so much to talk about!!
