If you have a SSD installed in your mac you might want to enable TRIM support for it, sadly Apple only supports the SSDs which come pre-installed in Macs. If you have a third-party SSD (like Intel or OWC) you can install this application to enable it (requires Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion 10.7)
