Default Disabling Secure (Encrypted) Virtual Memory

I have checked with some ultimate mac experts (more than me ) which happens to be marc (an iPhone and mac developer, check his apps @ dudeware.co.uk) and he told me this is safe.

    1) Open "System Preferences".

    2) Go to "Security" Pane.

    3) You may need to unlock the settings by clicking the pad lock at lower left hand corner and entering your password.

    4) Un-Check "Use Secure Virtual Memory"

here is a video tutorial of how to do it:

as i am a heavy user and only have 2GB RAM (max for my machine) i am using very large amounts of VM and page outs and swap file. i guess it might be worth it.

i cant see any more then a 10% increase in speed though..

I think the security issue is more with your laptop being stolen rather then it being hacked into.
